Program Description

World Learning was responsible for the overall Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL) activities of the Transforming Higher Education Systems (THES) project in Malawi, a multiyear initiative that involved several university partners.

THES was implemented by prime Michigan State University (MSU) in partnership with World Learning. The project aimed to strengthen the capacity of the higher education system in Malawi. It specifically sought to leverage the human capital of the country’s youth, in line with the goals set out in the Malawi 2063 national development plan. THES supported Malawian stakeholders in identifying and implementing innovative solutions to challenges facing their Higher Education System.
